Summary

Local departments of social services; agreementswith local workforce development boards; coordinated workforce developmentservices. Directs each local department of social services (localdepartment) to develop and enter into a written agreement with thelocal workforce development board serving the jurisdiction servedby the local department. The bill requires that such agreement (i)provide for the coordinated provision of workforce development servicesto participants in the Virginia Initiative for Education and Workand the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment andTraining and (ii) comply with any other requirements established bythe Department of Social Services.
