Common construction wage.

Requires any firm, individual, partnership, limited liability company, or corporation that is awarded a contract, after June 30, 2025, by the state, a political subdivision, or a municipal corporation for the construction of a public work, and any subcontractor of the construction, to pay a scale of wages that is not less than the common construction wage. Establishes a process for determining the common construction wage. Provides that a contractor or subcontractor who knowingly fails to pay the common construction wage commits a Class B misdemeanor. Provides that a public work project may not be artificially divided into two or more projects to avoid the application of the common construction wage requirements. Provides that a person who unlawfully divides a public work project commits a Class A infraction. Repeals a chapter regarding the effect of the repeal of the common construction wage statute by legislation enacted in 2015 and a chapter regarding wage scales for public works projects. Makes corresponding changes.
