911 funding.

This act requires the Wyoming Department of Transportation to conduct a study on transitioning to next-generation 911 services, including recommendations for governance, operations, expenses, efficiencies and funding of next-generation 911, with a report due to the Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee by September 1, 2027. The act also authorizes the Department of Transportation to establish a grant program to provide grants to governing bodies to address funding shortfalls for the operation of current 911 systems. The act appropriates funds for purposes of both conducting the study and providing grants to governing bodies under the grant program. Comments: Requires a report on next-generation 911 services to the Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee by September 1, 2027.
