Public service companies; pole attachments to accommodate cable TV systems & telecommunications.
Public service companies; pole attachments;cable television systems and telecommunications service providers. Requires a public utility, regarding the replacement of a pole toaccommodate an attachment by a telecommunications service provideror cable television system, to conduct such attachment and any requiredpole replacement in a manner consistent with federal guidance andregulations. The bill prohibits a public utility from apportioningto a telecommunications service provider or cable television systemthe cost of replacing a pole that fails to meet certain standardsas specified in the bill.
