SB 1169 - This act provides that a person shall be guilty of the offense of unlawful use of weapons if he or she carries openly or concealed on his or her person a firearm in the City of St. Louis. It shall be a class A misdemeanor for the first offense and a class E felony for any second or subsequent offenses. The provisions of this act do not apply to: • Any peace officers, members of the Armed Forces, and others as provided in the act; • Any person transporting a firearm in a non-functioning state or unloaded state; and • Any person who has a valid concealed carry permit. This act is identical to SB 339 (2025), SB 1191 (2024), SB 65 (2023), SB 1016 (2022), and HB 1599 (2020). TRISTAN BENSON, JR.
